Foundry is constructed of solid Norwegian Spruce which has been wire brushed to give the wood an aged, "lived-in" texture. A multi-step finishing process adds depth and character with hand-rubbed burnished edges. That process accentuates the grain flow of the more dense grain patterns, creating a rich look only possible with solid wood. In addition to modern features like our adjustable soft-close drawer glides, Kincaid utilizes the best of the old-world solid wood furniture construction techniques. Such features include English Dovetails, mortise and tenon construction, floating tops and panels, full dust proofing, and multi-step hand-rubbed finishes.
